 Ch. 5: Isis and Horus

 Horus, Son of Isis

When Horus, the son of Isis, is said to lose an eye, wear a falcon on his head, or rip the crown off the head of his mother, it is often this figure that is being alluded to. Note that Horus, the son of Isis, was the Egyptian god of light and that Apollo, who shared this geographical image, was the Greek god of sunlight.
